One question decides how you clean it — can this product get wet? The rinse-and-dry routine below only holds for a waterproof toy.

Every toy sold at AROOO is waterproof, so you can wash it under water without worrying. On top of that, the charging port is double-sealed on the inside, which answers the question we get most often — "is it a problem if water gets into the charging port?" It is not.

If you bought elsewhere, check whether the product is waterproof first. Do not apply this routine to a toy that is not.

The washing part is almost anticlimactic. Most Dame products only need a light rinse under running water after use.

• Lukewarm water, gently — no special tools required
• No need to pile on soap or strong cleansers — a light wash with lukewarm water is enough on its own

Drying matters more than washing. The rinse takes seconds, but skip this step and the rinse counts for little. There are only two things to do.

1. Wipe the water off after use
2. Let it dry thoroughly, including the charging port, before you use it again

Above all, make sure it is completely dry before charging. The port is sealed, so water getting in is not a problem — but charge it once it has dried.

Three things are all you need to follow.

• Keep it out of direct sunlight
• Store it somewhere with little dust
• Keep it in a pouch

That much alone keeps it noticeably cleaner and lasting longer.

• Piling on soap or strong cleansers — not necessary. Lukewarm water is enough
