Start with the sequence. The basics of using Dame Eva take three steps.
- Hold the power button for at least one second to switch it on
- Rest it gently on the spot that feels best — over the clitoris is the default position
- Draw each labium aside a little and hook the wings on one at a time — you are tucking it in place, not laying it on top

Step three is what this whole page is about. Wings left resting on the surface will shift with the slightest movement. Tucked between the labia, your body holds the unit for you. That is where the hands-free feel comes from — stimulation that continues without you holding anything.
Once it is on, change the vibration level with the button on the body and move around a little to find the angle that suits you. If it is your first time, start at the lowest level.

None of this works unless it powers on, of course. What to check when it will not charge is covered separately in the article on charging.
This is where the real tips start. The sequence is the same for everyone, but the comfortable spot is not. The Eva II fit guide offers three things to try. Change one at a time and keep the combination that works best.

1. Try it the other way round
If the default orientation feels slightly awkward, turn it around and wear it the other way. People find comfort in different places, and reversed can turn out to fit better than you would expect.
2. Inside or outside
Tucking the wings inside the labia minora is the default. If that is uncomfortable, pressing gently from the outside works too. Both are normal ways to wear it, so experiment and settle on whichever suits your body.
3. Move it up and down a little
If the sensation is not coming through the way you want, shift the position slightly up or down. Move it in small increments until you land on the spot that feels most comfortable and satisfying. Working out where it belongs on your body is part of enjoying Eva.
Intensity is set with the button, but what the button cannot fix, position can.
- If it feels too strong — drop the level, and wear it over underwear to start with indirect stimulation
- If you barely feel it — move it in small increments. Point 3 from the previous section, up and down, applies here as well

For the first few uses, give yourself time to work out how you want to wear it. It is small and quiet, and there is more than one way to wear it, so even if it looks unfamiliar at first, once it sits right you will see why so many people go looking for it.
This is the most common problem, and it is usually neither a fault nor a bad match. Work through the three checks below.
1. Your position
In positions with vigorous movement, such as from behind, it can be pushed out of place. Start with positions where your whole body is not moving much, and in more vigorous ones have your partner hold it gently or adjust it for you.
2. How the wings sit
Check again that the wings are hooked far enough between the labia. Left resting on the surface, it comes away easily. This is what goes wrong most often when step three is rushed.
3. How much lubricant
More is not better. Too much can make it slippery enough that it no longer holds. A small amount around the wings is plenty. A little water-based lubricant before you put it on does help the wings slide in and improves how snugly it sits — just stop there. Geukrak Gel, formulated to resemble natural fluid, works well with it.
Bodies differ, so finding the angle that works for yours takes a few attempts. It not clicking straight away is not a failure.
Do not be disappointed if you cannot find the perfect position immediately. Give it a little time, try a few approaches, and before long you will land on the way of using it that fits you. If you would rather hear how it actually felt for people who own one, the article collecting user reviews is a good companion to this one.
